Brisbane Weather and Climate

Brisbane Climate

Brisbane enjoys a warm sub-tropical climate with up to 2800 sunshine hours per annum.
The winters are idyllic with blue skies and a mean maximum temperature of 20-21°C (68-70°F) and a mean minimum temperature of 9-11°C (48-52°F) from June through to August.
In the summer months the mean maximum temperature hovers around 29°C (84°F) and the mean minimum temperature 20-21°C (68-70°F).
Most of Brisbane's rainfall occurs from December through until the end of March. This period is regarded as the "wet season".
One of the delights of Brisbane is sitting on the verandah of a cafe or hotel during a tropical downpour. Thunderstorms in Brisbane can be quite a spectacle.
